Birthday Surprise

When I had finished the elk drawing for Josh,
we had talked about having a couple more to make a set of drawings that looked cool in his office. I was able
to do these without him noticing, and he was excited when I gave them to him on his birthday! YAY! I love it when I can surprise him!

Jonathan's Transformer Birthday

Jonathan got a new bike for his birthday & an alien maker. He was pretty excited! The bike did not have training wheels at first - but after trying for a whole day we tracked some down for him. Now he can do it by himself. I can't believe he is already 5! It will be even crazier when he starts Kindergarten.

Jonathan wanted a transformer party and cake. This is what I came up with. It is not as dramatic as I had hoped because they were all out of black frosting at the store and it took a lot more food coloring than I had thought to make the frosting darker. Jonathan loved it though and that's all that mattered! It was devoured in a matter of minutes - is all that work worth it??? I think so.

For the party, we had a bunch of friends and played transformer bingo and transformer hide and seek. It got a little crazy at times - but the kids had a blast! I am looking forward to having our basement finished so we have more room for large groups such as this . . . hopefully soon!

A Very Rigby Christmas

We got to spend Christmas
at Becca's house in Rigby, Idaho!
The drive to and from got a bit snowy, but it was worth the effort. My mom and sister Katie
were able to come, and we had
a big party!
It was really fun to see Aliya and Julia together,
They are a lot of like! One noticable difference is that Julia is a couple pounds heavier. She did like to crawl on top of Aliya too - which she did not like very much.

We found a present from Santa under
the tree on Christmas Eve, and Jonathan got sooooo concerned. We figured out that Santa had come early, but realized his mistake and left quickly. He didn't leave all of the presents and was coming again that night!!! Oooops.
On the note that we left for Santa and his reindeer, Jonathan made sure to note Santa's mistake for him. It was pretty cute!
